Office Closure Due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred – 6th & 7th March 2025
Due to the imminent arrival of Tropical Cyclone Alfred, we have made the difficult decision to close our office on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th March 2025 to ensure the safety of our staff. As a Gold Coast-based firm, we are expecting severe weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, destructive winds, and flooding, which could make travel hazardous.
Additionally, authorities have warned that power and internet outages may last for several days across Southeast Queensland, affecting more than four million residents. Given this, we anticipate disruptions to our normal business operations and our ability to provide support during this time. You can read more about the forecasted impact here.
Important Reminder for Visa Holders
If your visa is due to expire during this period or early next week, please ensure that all necessary arrangements are made in advance, as there may be limited access to online systems, government offices, and support services due to the cyclone’s impact.
Stay Informed
We encourage everyone to follow local news channels and emergency services updates for the latest information on the cyclone, evacuation notices, and safety recommendations. Tune in to Sky News, BOM (Bureau of Meteorology), and Queensland Emergency Services for real-time alerts and instructions.
We urge all staff and clients to take necessary precautions, stay safe, and check in with friends and family. We will provide further updates as the situation develops.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to resume normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so.
