Age Eligibility for Cyprus, Finland, Germany and the Republic of Korea
From 1 July 2026, passport holders from Cyprus, Finland, Germany and the Republic of Korea can apply for an Australian Working Holiday (subclass 417) visa between the ages of 18 and 35 inclusive.
The Department of Home Affairs has confirmed the expanded eligibility on its Working Holiday Maker program updates page.
Eligible applicants may lodge a Working Holiday visa application up to 11:59 pm (AEST) on the day before their 36th birthday.

Cap increase for Uruguay
From 1 July 2026, up to 1,500 first Work and Holiday visas (subclass 462) are available each program year to eligible passport holders from Uruguay.
This increase finalises a previously agreed amendment to the Work and Holiday arrangement between Australia and Uruguay.
